DISCOVER. Have you ever pondered if there is more to the places around you? Leveraging geolocation, OurWorlds allows our devices to unveil the stories of the places we visit. They leverage emerging technologies to more comprehensively capture, preserve, and share culture.

IMAGINE. As you journey through your day, uncover content relevant to your current location. OurWorlds embodies the indigenous belief that education and entertainment unfold experientially in nature.

OurWorlds is the proud winner of the SXSW 2022 Launch competition.

How to use the app:

1. LANDS MODE: Upon opening the app, tap the Lands button, follow the prompts, and witness your environment in a new light - with its indigenous tribal territory name superimposed in 3D augmented reality typeforms. Snap a photo and send it via the app to have it featured on the globe in Lands mode. Explore snapshots from other users and delve into the indigenous communities with historical roots in these locations.
2. STORIES MODE: Open the app, tap the Stories button, and delve into augmented reality objects and immersive XR360º experiences using the map or content tiles.
   • Experience XR content in 360º by standing in place and turning to follow the action.
   • For a VR experience, insert your phone into mobile VR viewers such as Google Cardboard.
   • While most experiences are accessible on demand via the map, some are site-specific and can only be viewed when physically present at that location.

• We are a Native American-founded company committed to finding innovative ways to preserve and promote culture. Harnessing emerging technologies, we aim to meticulously document culture and offer narratives for future generations while honoring community spirit.
• Although our genesis was within Native American communities, we have discovered that the resulting application has relevance for civilizations worldwide. Location-based primary source narratives serve as a vital tool for understanding environments and shared histories authentically.
• This platform is being developed under indigenous leaders' guidance in education, technology, and culture. We are cultivating a movement that leverages emerging technologies to propel culture and civilization into the future.
